It is fairly detailed - unless it changed only major creeks and landings are labeled. But, you can label them yourself. I'm running a Humminbird currently & I prefer (miss) the detail of garmin maps over the navionics saltwater maps I currently have

I would by pass the kill switch first....coil failure normally results in a rough running engine, not ability to crank.
