I love horny two year olds

With the opening of turkey season finding me with no permit for my favorite haunts, I decided to go back to the area that was so good to me last year. It's a WMA that is about 45 minutes from my house to parking the truck. I certainly can't complain much about that. Only a few deer decided to try to...

Re: Turkey Season 2021

Saturday sucked because of the wind....didn't even see a turkey track.

Sunday was much better, though I didn't hear any birds early in the morning. This fella came in about 11 but he only gobbled 4 times.

Re: Wear your PFD!!!

Dang Barry. That's some scary stuff. I had an overloaded boat trip one time that was enough to tell me NEVER AGAIN. Three people, decoys, guns etc in a 12x36 jon boat. The plus was protected quite lake. The minus was DEEEEEP water and a jon boat so old that the rivets were leaking and working their ...

Re: Grilling fish????

Depends on the fish....tuna steaks I like to sear them with a cajun or creole seasoning on each side, put it on a sammich with spicy mayo and maybe some onion...bread has been toasted. One of my favorite ways to cook flounder was with butter, pepper and a splash of tequila in a nice hot pan, but I b...

Re: Stuck shotgun choke

The best oil I have ever used to break a shotgun choke free was Kroil. Let it sit for a while. Sometimes days, but this has been effective. Another way that proved effective before was to put the barrel in the freezer and then after it has gotten cold, use slight heat to heat up just the muzzle end ...

Re: New Kawasaki Fat Tire bicycle help

When I was using my bike to hunt ducks and was dragging a trailer behind me, my bike had a nice wide, heavily padded seat. I never had seat issues and we rode several miles each way, sometimes in sugar sand, sometimes it was nasty sloggy mud that when wet is worse than tar and sometimes it was nice ...

I haven't been up there, though I have been looking at that hole and wondering about it. Good luck on your trip when you go...

When you go on the upper river trips like this, do you often see any big gators in the back of beyond waters? I know I have seen some little gators but anything big?

Re: Upper Aucilla adventures

You should get you some COMFORTABLE rubber boots :-D I'm a big fan of LaCrosse Alpha Burlys….pretty much all I wear turkey hunting and I can do some serious walking in them. They work well on a bike too.

Is the water still pretty high back up the St. Marks?

Re: Upper Aucilla adventures

Your pictures make me wanna get out and go explore! Maybe not drag my canoe up and over logs while dealing with yellow flies (I react very badly to those nasty evil monsters' bites), but definitely explore and catch bluegill or redbellies. Been too long on that for me. But because of some of your po...

Re: Metal building recommendation needed.

I too used Southeastern Buildings in Tallahassee. I was very happy with how quick it went up once they had all the right parts. The first time they showed up, they had reversed the north side and south side upper frame so they had to come back later with it corrected. But it went up incredibly quick...
