Re: A couple of map reading questions

You will also see "platform ruins" marked, and I have yet to see any evidence of them. I was looking at the chart this weekend as well and wondered if there were any remains in the spots that are marker Platform (ruins). Does anybody know what was there years ago? I'm sure there weren't a...

Re: Good Sunday Morning

Good morning BBF!

I went out to the St Marks yesterday and tried to find some scallops. A friend that was with me had troubles with his Jetski so that slowed us down. We were in the water for about three hours and got 2 gal of scalops, but just the two of us were hunting.

Just be sure you have the marine firing pin cups installed. Be SURE you use FMJ rounds... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS057lKUtCs Dubble  I know this is off subject, but if the bullets aren't penetrating the bottom of the trash can, what's the point of shooting under water? Same question from me. I'm going to try this weekend, but I don't know if I should drive somewhere or try Grey Mare first.

Re: Oil spill trajectory forecast- USF computer model

I'm glad I saw this post. A guy I work with just said his wife's friend that lives in Panama City says there's clumps of oil showing up on the beach already. I told him to stop spreading lies like our typical news is doing. He sounded like chicken little!

OK, scallop season is getting close again. Has anyone looked around while fishing to see this year?

Re: St. Marks ramp -- Spanish Fort -- What's up with that?

I just went by the St Marks Fort ramp Saturday and it looked like bothe ramps were being used. That doesn't they are finished, but they seemed to be inuse. I like the Shields ramp except for the crowd of people always there and lack of parking.

Re: Scallop Scouting

The scallops were thick in St Marks last Saturday and there were several large ones. The grass makes them hard to find, but if you know how to look you can catch them quick. I didn't go all the way to Grey Mare Rock and 4 adults and 1 child got our limit in 4 hours. I was finding more than anyone el...
