Re: Wacissa river tips
Yes, they are Suwannee bass and are very good eating. I call them red eye because their red eye stands out so good when you see them. A 2#er fights like a 4-5# LM.

Re: Concealed carry question
I would let the officer know I have a weapon, where it is and I am licensed law or not. I try to head trouble/issues/situations off before they get to me.

Re: To boat or not to boat....
As soon as you don't take it you will be looking at all of the fish others are catching. That is a long time to be there boatless. I'd take it... Crowds shouldn't be too bad with scallop season closed at the moment. Good luck

Re: Lake Miccosukee mystery

They will all be gator and turtle bait if we dont get some rain but this happens every year there. Ding, ding, ding we have a winner. When the lake rises and goes over the spi...

Re: Crawfish
Don't have exacts. I just toss it in the creek. Sometimes the water is 2-3' deep and sometimes Dry. I stake it down with a 12" spike on a 6' piece of string. If there are crawdads there then your bait may be the problem. I read baits with fish oils are best so I crack the lid on canned cat food...
Re: Crawfish
I catch them with a trap in a creek down the road from the house and fish them in the Wacissa river for red eye's. I use canned cat food, fish flavor. You can feed them carrots to keep them alive. I'll have to try the banana for bait. The creek goes under a county road but you can't see the trap whe...
