Alligator Point 6/12/10

I had Cuda"B" idle for a blown raw water pump on her starboard engine, so I was offered and accepted a ride along with my neighbor aboard his boat, "Connie Lynn". It sounded alot better than replacing the pump, so I put that job off for one more day and went offshore instead 8) ....

Alligator Point Cuda"B" 5/15/10

I finally was able to get my schedule to allow for some time offshore! Left the dock with a crew of 5 ,including me, and stopped at Dog Island Reef to load up with some pinfish. Bait was plentiful so we had a livewell full in 20-30 minutes of catchin. After checking with crew on their resolve, as I ...

Re: alligator point

I still see a few people launch there, but it is at your own risk. There is virtually no parking available since they put in the condos. The ramp is not maintained at all and at low tide it is challenging, even for small boats. There is a public ramp at the S-curve on the way to the marina, but agai...

Re: St. Marks 11-17-09 Grouper (Gags)

Glad your persistance paid off, Nicely! Also excited to see that the Gags seem to be moving in closer, at least in Apalachee Bay. Welcome to the .net

Alligator Point Cuda"B" 11/15/09

After checking the weather for the weekend, I called the owner to see if he wanted to go check if the grouper had been "relocated" by Ida. I had to move Cuda"B" around to the marina on Saturday due to the extreme negative tides in the morning; I would be unable to get her out of ...

Re: Offshore AP 10/25

Thanks for the report and welcome aboard! I had been thinking of going this past weekend but decided to wait a little longer, hoping to see a significant drop in the water temp. Glad you caught fish and hope next time you bring home a box full; or at least as many as the law will allow :D

Alligator Point 10/11/09 Cuda"B"

I have been out a couple of times since my last post, but have not had much luck, with Snapper season closed and the grouper action being "short"! Decided to try our luck again this past Sunday, with a crew of 4. We left the dock around 7:30 and stopped at D.I. Reef to load the livewell an...

Alligator Point, Cuda"B", 8/3 & 8/9 09

A combined report from two trips over last week! On Monday 8/3, left the dock @ 6:30 with a crew of roughnecks! Four of my friends were celebrating one's retirement from the PO! We followed my usual pattern, stopping at DI Reef to fill the livewell with bait and then pointing Cuda"B"...

Alligator Point, Cuda"B", 7/25/09

After a client had to cancel, I had the itch to go anyway so I got together a last minute crew for Saturday and we left the dock approx 7:15. As usual, stopped off at D.I. Reef and loaded the livewell with pinfish and assorted other baitfish and headed due south to 100ft 8) As we made the 1 hour, 15...

Re: Alligator Point 7-25-2009

Nice Cobia Tom!! Glad ya'll made it back before the bottom fell out. I had Cuda"B" about 33 miles out and rode out the nastiness that you avoided. She is a big comfy boat but it is still nerve wracking when you have lightning bolts dropping all around :o I will post my report later once I ...

Alligator Point July 4th, 2009

We took advantage of some great conditions on the 4th to get offshore. We left the dock about 6:30am and headed to DI Reef to load up on some fresh live bait, with Dan, Brianna, Chris and Kendall on board. After 2 short drifts, we had some great pinfish swimming in the livewell and we headed due Sou...
