Re: SGI-Getting Skunked-HELP!!!
I fish SGI a lot and mostly during the hottest months and done really good but like mentioned above you must fish early and late evening. Not much going on during the middle of the day. Get out there at daylight and fish few hours then enjoy the rest of the day on and around the Island. Then try aga...

Re: St George inshore
If going to the cut I would recommend live bait(pilchards). Never had in luck there with anything else except maybe some cut mullet.

Re: St George boat landings
Rattlesnake cove. Head East a couple of miles and you will see a little peninsula coming out from the island side. The cove will be on the other side. Be careful going around to the other side as it will get shallow in places. Lot of oyster bars in close.

Re: St George inshore
Talked to a Cpt. today and it sounds like it's a coin toss, the fishing is great right now. I personally have had better luck west.

I agree, those creeks get hammered every year but had no ill effect the rest of the year. Definitely something going on this year tho.

Re: fishing Lanark Reef
I gotcha. I fish all of those areas a lot but from SGI, family has a house on the bay. I want to start making some day trips and Lanark would be my closest ramp to that area for some inshore and nearshore fishing. Does the market offer live bait?

I have never launched out of either before but have been wanting to fish out of Lanark pretty bad lately. Love trying new areas.

Re: CCA STAR Tournament
Maybe you(director) can explain this more clearly to me: "All entries must be electronically submitted using the required tournament protocols, either by a direct upload using STAR’s official smart phone application or by using the tournament’s website, within 24 hours of each catch. Each entry...

I had a few questions too and talked to someone on Instagram about it and he was very helpful. The measuring device can only be picked up a certain "verification locations" and the nearest one's around here is SEA HAG MARINA AT KEATON BEACH, JACK’S BOATS AND TRAILERS, INC.,SEA HAG MARINA, ...

Re: Keaton 5.9
Fished there last weekend and the same story. Fished Fri-Sun and managed only five keeper trout and one flounder. Fished everything under the sun including shrimp and pinfish. Didn't catch a thing on live bait. Two of the trout came on plugs and the other three on Gulp new penny under cork. Was hopi...

How's the water clarity out around the sand bar?
Re: Fish ID?
Don't know why but they have been plentiful here lately. The first time I ever saw one was last year. Have caught around 5 or 6 the last couple times out.

Great reel at a great price. If I didn't already have 4 of them I would be all over it. BTW location?
