registration numbers blacked out

I plan on putting my Jon boat up for sale in the next week or so. To get an idea of what I can get for it I looked at what similar boats were selling for on Craig's List. On a couple of the boats the seller had blacked out their registration numbers in the pics. Just curious as to why they did this?...

Re: Anyone Spearfish?

Their are a lot of good spots to dive in our area although water clarity is always an issue. The water in normally much clearer in the spring, winter and fall. During the summer you need to get out a little deeper. Just because it's dirty at the top doesn't mean it's that way at the bottom. It's bee...

Re: scallop report st marks

Haven't looked so really can't say. What I do know is when our area gets a lot of rain the scallops become very scares and when we don't they are more plentiful. That being said wouldn't count of St. Marks producing much in the near future. Placed like Lanark and PSJ tend to be better since they don...

Re: Upcoming Goliath Grouper Workshops

Over the years I've heard a lot of people complain about the number of Goliath in our waters. These comments mainly stem from the frustration of having their catch stolen or the belief that they eat everything on a reef. I might not agree with this reasoning but do understand the frustration. For me...

Re: Bad news for PSJ

Did you spear those four TW? Open season, no bag or size limits. I tried Southern Seafood but they didn't have any. It's supposed to be very tasty meat. I might check with one of the seafood markets in Destin when I'm over there next week. I didn't shoot them but not because I was concerned about a...

Re: Bad news for PSJ

I dive pretty much exclusively out of SM. Most of the time I'm in 30-45' but do venture out to 75 from time to time. Last year I saw the first one in 65 of water'. It was on the Coast Gard plane near K tower. Their was only 4 on it. I guess it's only a matter of time before I start seeing them more ...

Re: St. Marks River?

1. I think it's more about species of fish than location when talking about the St. Marks river. If you are catching trout up river then you need a saltwater fishing license but if you are targeting bass and bream then you need a freshwater license. I could be wrong but that's the way I understand i...

Re: Would you still fish if you couldn't keep anything?

I fish with SG most weekends and although I'll keep the occasional red to eat fresh, 99% of the inshore fish we catch are let go. The one exception to this is flounder. Maybe if I could figure out how to catch them more often I'd let them go but the handful I do land each year are generally introduc...

Re: Whats happened to trout fishing?

I'm on the water most weekends and have noticed the same thing. Although my attention is mainly on reds we use to pick up some nice trout in the process. Over the last couple years I've seen less and less. In the last couple months more times than not we don't even catch a trout. I think with all th...

Re: St marks 4-8-17

Only caught one trout this weekend although that wasn't our targeted species. Did manage 12-15 reds on Saturday and a dozen or so on Sun. Fished from 9-2:30 both days out of SM. We normally pick up a few trout so it was odd not to see more.

Re: Power loss Yamaha vmax 200

My motor did the same thing last year. At first I thought it was the low pressure fuel pump going bad but it ended up being something much easier to fix. One of the internal fuel filters wasn't screwed on properly which allowed air to get in the fuel system. This caused a lose of vacuum in the fuel ...

Remington rifle settlement

I remember watching a special on this several years ago. Looks like they are final going to settle and resolve the trigger issue.
