Fished Cape San Blas on Saturday: Heavy winds out of the west pushed in much larger than normal surf, almost impossible to wade further than waist deep, as the next wave would cover you. Good of you to take your pops out. Beautiful little gag, they will stretch a line. I’m surprised y’all couldn’t scratch out a trout at that depth. Not sure which sandbar you were fishing for pins, but you’ll do better over thick grass. This time of year, the deeper the better. Thanks for the report...

I've also eaten a few sharks. Knife them in the gills, to kill them as quickly as possible and bleed them. On ice ASAP. Clean them at the boat dock, and don't wait until later to do it. They filet easily- since the bones don't exist. The carcass does smell- BAD. Get the meat separated as quickly as ...

Took my dad out on the water around 830, headed east from the sandbar after failing to pick up any pinfish on the bar. Ended up drifting in about 9' of water most of the morning.
