Right on Big Dog! Looks like you guys found the mother load! Will be hitting St. Marks or St. Joe State Park before the season ends in hopes of finding some beauts!

Hey guys,
I'm interested in getting better at bass fishing here in Tallahassee and wanted to know if anybody could recommend a bass club to join. Thanks for the help!

Lake Jackson 4-3-2015
Got out on the water at 8:50 with 62 degree air temp and was it foggy! So foggy that you couldn't see 15ft in front of you after leaving the launch. So, because I fish out of my faithful puddle jumper I decided to play it safe and fish Ford's Arm. Not too bad except for the teenage alligators harass...

Fish with sores and cuts
I recently caught and released a 3 pound bass with a good size sore or gash in it and wanted to know, are these fish ok to eat or should you throw them back? It's bugging me because I threw it back because I was afraid of getting sick but I really wanted to fry it up! I caught it at Lake Jackson tod...

Lake Jackson 3-29-2015
Hit the water around 8:30am off of Rhoden Cove. Air temp was about 48 degrees and whew it was gorgeous out there! Water felt warm in some areas but no accurate temp and man it was really windy at certain points of the morning. I fish a little puddle jumper so any kind of wind makes for a bumpy ride....

Shannon Lakes revisited 3-22-2015
I love eating bass but I refuse to eat bass from ponds near well manicured lawns and farm ponds next to crops. While I wish I could fish Lake Jackson every Sunday morning (because I'll eat those fish) we made an agreement to fish Shannon lakes again before fishing Jackson. Well we hit Shannon Lakes ...

Re: Anybody read Spring Creek Chronicles and
I'm actually in the middle of the first one right now and have really enjoyed the stories so far. Someone also mentioned that he owns a restaurant? What is the name of it?
Also, if anyone knows where I can find more Florida fishing stories or panhandle history let me know, Im an avid collector!

Shannon Lakes 3-1-2015
Wow I believe it has been at least a year since I have been here and have been gone too long! I return with a post from an odd lake system...more like a retention pond...that now holds my wife's new bass record! We hit Shannon Lakes Sunday morning around 7:45 am. The weather report said that the hig...

Re: Piney Z lake
Topdog I'll have to try the trees out again. Every time I have hit the cypress trees I've come out with little luck...meaning I've caught only one fish there. But I've heard fish stories of 9lbers being caught in that area.

Re: Piney Z lake
Topdog13 realllllly......care to share? Haha just kidding. Demon is right. The only reason I have been fishing the fingers lately is because I've grown tired of lugging the boat, battery and all other necessary equipment up the hill.
