Snapper Season: Extra Innings!!!!
Thanks to the Snapper Season being extended a couple of days, I was able to get out on the water today with my fishing buddies. They fished yesterday and limited out and also got some nice red grouper. Today we only got a couple grouper, but we did get our limit of Snapper (14 as we had 7 on the boa...

Re: Please Read And Help Out If You Can
Some of my buddies knocked me pretty hard for trying to get the Snapper season extended, but like I told them, I wouldn't have ever had the chance to marry my wife if I hand't ever asked her on the first date. We had some fine folks helping us out on this issue. First of all, Governor Scott did an o...

Re: Please Read And Help Out If You Can
There's no doubt that I'm an eternal optimist and suspect this may not happen, but IMHO it never hurts to try. Thanks BMAN for the link folks can use. Feel free to contact your local State reps as well. My State Rep, Representative Beshears (who is one heckuva a fine fella) has advised me that he wi...

Please Read And Help Out If You Can
I sent the below short email to Governor Scott this evening. I'm hoping others will contact his office as well. Our Chairman of our BOCC advised he will propose a referendum at tomorrow night's BOCC meeting seeking assistance with this request. Furthermore, a couple of other folks in the political s...

Re: Thinking about making the move to Wakulla Cnty
I moved to Wakulla County in the 80's and have hunted/fished here since the 70's. It's a great place to live. Personally, I liked it better down here 30 years ago and the growth has been tremendous but not necessarily a positive attribute IMHO. The schools are good and you can see your teachers in C...

Re: Sunken boat?
It did happen, the anglers didn't have a working bilge pump, had taken on some water, tried to pull the plug to release water, and it just continued to go under. Luckily they were close enough that they could swim over to another boat and all returned safely. The boat ended up being brought back up ...

Re: Any tournaments this weekend in the area
There is a tournament Saturday out of Carrabelle Boat Club that is hosted by Firefighters from Tallahassee. The proceeds go to a children's burn camp. Check out http://tallahasseefirefighters.com/ for more info on it. I think the website indicates that grouper is not a category for adults, however, ...

Re: Seatow Discount
Captain Joel has always been very gratuitous with discounts at varying events, etc. I believe they will have a booth at this weekend's Rock The Dock tourney, head down and talk to him and see what offers they may have going. On the flip side $179 is dang cheap when it comes to being stranded on the ...

Re: Raymarine E120 Issue-Looking For Help
I am hoping you are right reelhandy, I was "thinking" the same thing, but with the DSM coming into play, that's where it was somewhat confusing (plus I'm not an electronics guy by any means). We downloaded the manuals last night and will try and see what we can pull together. Thanks again ...

Raymarine E120 Issue-Looking For Help
My buddy has a Raymarine E120 that has two different screens (one for the navigation the other screen acts as the bottom machine). The bottom machine one has an issue with the backlighting an hence he can't see the bottom, etc due to the screen having gone dark. Raymarine tech help indicated that he...

Engine Tune Up Question: Wakulla Area
Good Morning Everyone: Can anyone advise of a good local shop to get my engine serviced (just a routine maintenance, i.e. change the foot oil, lube, filter, etc). It's probably something I could possibly do, but A.) I haven't ever done it myself and B.) I like someone who is around boat motors a lot...

Re: Leon County: Dove & Duck Question
Thanks micci_man for the info on the Dove, I couldn't find it anywhere in the on-line regs. Of course, after missing the section about the Ducks, I was beginning to think it was my reading comprehension or need for glasses.....
