Re: Spinning rod for $100 or under
It is for mostly jig/spoon with some topwater. I have the 7 footers, but I want a 6' rod as well. I wade fish some and this will be the main wading weapon with some boat work thrown in. Good idea Cairo, now I just need to make the time to get that way. Thanks for all the ideas.

Re: Lake Jackson?
Buzzbaits after dark have been productive in the past. I have not fished it in a while though.

Spinning rod for $100 or under
I need a new 6' spinning rod (odd how the graphite rods do not stand up to being stood upon!) It is for a Sahara 3000 with flourocarbon 8 or 10 lb. I like Medium light in the 6'. What would be a good decently sensitive rod for $100 or under. I am not real picky about brands and will hold some in my ...

I thought someone said that was because site sponsors can do that CS. I may be wrong about that.

Re: Lot of views, not many posts
Thanks Chalk, sorry this went the way it did, I was just tryin to convinve former lurkers like me to post, not to critique past or present posters. Again, the context of boards makes it hard to unnerstand what someone means.

Re: Squirrel Brunswick Stew
Hey blind hog. If ya have a mess o ducks, cook them down in BBQ sauce like you would pulled pork (in crock). Then toss that in there too. My buds always ask for my duck Brunswick stew. Now ya got me wanting some. Are you the Blind hog I know (i'm g8rvet)
Re: Flounder
I just got finished eating a flounder with an awesome and simple recipe. I do love them fried, but tried something different. 5 ounce bag of Croutons (plain or butter/garlic) Small can of crab meat Small bunch of green onions Saute green onion tops in butter until soft (about 1/2 stick) Crush crouto...

Re: Lot of views, not many posts
Umm, they are kind of blending together. Tom Sawyer was Chief Osceola. My son was little and in a car seat and he is turning 21 soon, so I would say around 90-92, somewhere in there.Jumptrout51 wrote:Which year?

Re: Lot of views, not many posts
BTW - It's always great to have new blood on the forum. It adds new enthusiasm for the old fart (JumpTrout). Sorry - lets just get along (unless you're a Gator, liberal, gun control activist or Hoe-bama supporter). Well then, I reckon I read that wrong. My bad. What sucks about message boards. Thin...

Re: Lot of views, not many posts
If you are talking to me, I have never been to FS ( I assume you mean FL Spor) and I was not "whining" about posters, I was trying to get more folks having fun that are just reading and not posting. If you don't like my posts, i reckon you don't have to read them. I never once said anythin...

Re: Lot of views, not many posts
"A lot of reports go unreported anymore because.......the reporters couldn't go back to the spots they spent hours and hours scouting without finding a half dozen boats on them." I don't think a report needs to be that specific to be fun to read. Most folks don't want the details of the sp...

Well if any of ya'lll see me in a Ranger Cayman behind a green F250, walk over and say hey. It is nice to put a face with a name. the boat ain't named yet. The One fish two fish has been sold to my brother. If you talk to him, don't use big words, he's special.
