Re: Grumman Canoe

All canoes and kayaks manufactured after 1972 are required to have a Hull Identification Number. There should be an aluminum plate on the bow with the manufacture info and a hull ID # near the stern. It looks like yours has been painted several times so it could have been removed or it was made befo...

Re: Inshore/River fishing: what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for all those comments! We had a good day out of Econfina. The bite didn't turn on until after 4 and I don't have lights so we had so run the sun down. 5 short reds and one 20" keeper! Good times!

Re: Inshore/River fishing: what am I doing wrong?

I appreciate the comments very much! My thought was the river is where the fish are when it's winter time but I was mistaken because of all the freshwater. I hope to scout a few new spots tomorrow with more salinity and less freshwater. :D

Great looking boat!

I am looking at taking the carpet out of mine and replacing with Seadek. How do you like it?

Re: Inshore/River fishing: what am I doing wrong?

Nice looking rig King! The g/f says I can't post any pictures of her so maybe there's still hope :) We will try again this Saturday in a few new spots.

I hope to have some time to get my current boat fixed up a little and sell it to upgrade or just run it one more season.

Re: Inshore/River fishing: what am I doing wrong?

We need to see photos of the girl friend first in order to accurately answer your question. She wants to see pictures of your boat first! Thanks for the help. I have been thinking about scouting around towards Wakulla Beach or Stony Bayou, but thought the river would be a better spot w...

Inshore/River fishing: what am I doing wrong?

So, back in the summer I told the girlfriend several times that fishing would be much better once the water cooled off. Now it's nice and cool, beautiful weather to fish in and we still can't catch any fish. We went out to the St Marks three times between Christmas and New Year's Day and only caught...

I wasn't sure if they were just parked or were using the ramp, but they are highly trained individuals.

Re: St. Mark's ramp

It was still closed on Dec 31, but it looked like the floating docks were back on the poles. There were 2 FWC trucks parked in front of the ramp and one was towing a boat.
