Re: This weather sucks.
It wasn't that bad yesterday at SM. Put it at a little before 9am and fished till 12:30. Probable could have stayed longer but needed to get back home. Landed around 15 reds and a half dozen trout.

BP and Cabela's branded equipment
This is more of a curiosity question than anything else. A few days ago I received a Bass Pro catalog in the mail. The first several pages of products are their own branded reels. When you get to the rod section, same thing. I’m sure you all get these same catalogs and know what I’m referring to. My...

G3 storage box
I've just got done refitting my G3 and in the process I removed the storage box that was riveted to the floor of the boat. It is 12x26x12.5 (LxWxH) and has 2 sets of rod holders at either end of it that can hold a total of 4 rods vertically along with a knife and plyers. Here link to what the rod ho...
Re: Fish ID
I've always called them a cow fish but after looking at some pics of unicorn Leatherjacket it looks like I was wrong. They are a pretty common fish in our near shore waters as I see them often. Generally they are just floating near the surface. Most of the ones I see are while running.

Re: Offshore/ Inshore 4-27/28
Each has about 100 yards of 100# mono, backed by 40# mono. I'll probably resol with 60# mono to get the lures to run deeper. I think the 100# is overkill. I use 50lb power pro on my bigger trolling setups with about 10' of 50lb mono leader. I will even use one of my set ups with 30lb power pro with...

Re: what to do with Styrofoam coolers?
Dave, good call on taking them to the UPS store. I have one done the street from my house and dropped off a couple this morning. They were happy to take them off my hands!

Re: what to do with Styrofoam coolers?
TW, You might check with one of the franchise UPS stores or Mail & Ship. They might be interested for packing material. When we've gotten packages in the past with the styrofoam peanuts, we've bagged them up and taken them to the UPS stores. They were happy to get them. Good luck. Better to reu...
