SK is not around as much since he moved "out west".
I do know that he waited months and months for this to come in. So you wait long to time too. lol

Re: Stmarks and steinhatchee 10/22-23: Into the murk
Nice report Big Tim. Releasing a large female trout is a service to yourself, your fellow anglers, and future generations. Studies have shown that large breeders are exceptionally productive reproducers. If you are lucky enough to get to fish a lot, and are pretty good at it, it's easy to say "...

Re: Redfish workshop.....Tallahassee TONIGHT
Thank you Chris for the excellent report. I personally agree with most if not all of the discussion points. There are more boats and more fishermen on the water than ever before and we have to be careful that we don't love our resources to death. Most of you may not remember the local fishery prior ...

Re: Kayak for bad back - recommendations
Honestly, with a bad back, and having had 3 fishing Kayaks over the years......get a Gheenoe. The 15'4 model with a 9.9 will run 15mph and float anywhere a yak will go. It's a breeze to load on its small and lightweight trailer and you can tow it with anything. You can add super comfortable folding ...
Re: Tarpon
The main migration push is over for the year. There are always some fish that hang around in various places. Finding those places is not easy. Getting one of those fish to eat is even harder. When the water temp gets into the mid 70's they will be moving to warmer waters. If you wait until next June...

Re: Last snapper trip for the season
I'm with you EJ, I just don't understand people these days. Why make fishing into something stressful? Why not just run on to another spot? I'll bet both of those boats have literally dozens if not a hundred waypoints marked in that area. How can you have any pride as a Captain or as a man for that ...

2011 Minn Kota I-Pilot 70 For Sale. SOLD.
2011 Minn Kota Riptide SP 70 pound thrust, 24 volt, 54" shaft. New remote, no mounting hardware. This is an older factory I-Pilot with GPS, Anchor Mode/spot lock, 6 recordable tracks, etc. It came on a flats skiff I bought last Fall. It works fine, the motor pulls strong, all features work. I t...

Re: F250 25” shaft
I wonder if a "Salt Away" rinse would have prevented the problem? I do that religiously with my two new Yammys and I'm planning (and hoping) to get many years of service from them.
Evidently not.....see below.

Re: A few days off-funny eventful trip
Just press down the barb with a pair of pliers....BEFORE.....you go fishing. You can't fish on my boat with barbed hooks. It might hurt, but they come out without a trip to the ER. And, no you won't lose all your fish if you keep the line tight. And, it's much much easier to release the small ones u...

I usually fish really early, then blame the scallopers for the floating grass, then mope around complaining about the heat, then whine about how I wish it was Fall already. lol

Re: Power-Pole Micro Anchor
When you double click the up button it raises the pole all the way then runs it back down about 6". I ran with it that way all the time with no issues. I cant tell much from your pic about mounting options. As you mentioned you need to mount it where it stays out of the water. Spray is fine, du...

Re: Power-Pole Micro Anchor
What size skiff? I had a Micro on my Gheenoe LT25 and it worked fantastic. I have an 8' Sportman on my 18' Action Craft it it works fantastic. Capt. Dave had a Micro one on his Bevertail skiff and it's didn't work nearly as well. He had water intrusion problems and had to send it back several times ...
