Re: Fishing Saturday 4/12/14

I am going to try out Econfina for the first time this Saturday. I have been fishing St. Marks the last five years so I think it is time to try out a different location. I am tired of the new boaters in St. Marks. I have never understood why boaters have to get within 50 yards of you while fishing ...

Re: Something New? St. Marks 4/4

It was the sun playing tricks. I can't wait to try it, I've never had pompano before. I hear the grill is the way to go.

This is a better photo. Yes I did go with Chad. Much better than our previous trip when we only caught one spanish.

Something New? St. Marks 4/4

Caught 25+ trout under a pop cork using nuclear chicken shrimp. Kept 7 keepers ranging 19-16 inches. The water was dark and ranged 67-69 degrees. All fish were caught in 4.5-3.5 ft of water. Something weird that I have never heard of before, I caught a 20 inch pompano on that pop cork set up. Anyone...

SGI 3/20

Fished at SGI state park today for a few hours. Managed to land 4 trout ranging 12''-15'', all fished released. Lost a good sized one along with a few others. Used a mirrodine along with gulp under a pop cork, caught fish on both.

Re: St. Marks Water Clarity

I went this morning, water is super clear on the flats. Cold water temps though ranging 55-57. Didn't see much of anything other than Gar and a few sheepshead in a creek. Caught one Spanish.

St. Marks Water Clarity

I'm thinking about doing some fishing Monday morning and was wondering if anyone knew how the water clarity is right now out of St. Marks? I know with all the rains lately some of the rivers are starting to flood.

St. Marks 1/5/14

The roommate and I decided to try our luck down at St. Marks by the lighthouse on Sunday. I met a guy that uses this site as well and he was kind enough to let us fish with him. We tried the oyster bed at low tide then tried the old dock and one creek at high tide with no luck. Used live shrimp, gul...

Re: Fishing From Land

MPA, I just used google maps to look at the hickory mound area and that looks nice.

Gary, what creeks hold fish in St. Marks?
