Re: St Marks day to remember

I know some old salts who've never had the pleasure of fighting a tarpon.
You're spoiling your kids by putting them on the fish of a lifetime at such an early age!
JK, nice job!

Re: 2015 Scallop Seminar

Just wanted to bump this one to the top one more time. The weather's looking like it's gonna be questionable for scalloping this weekend, but if you're coming to town anyway, you might as well come to the seminar. You might win a door prize, and you may even pick up that hot tip that helps you go ge...

Re: 2015 Scallop Seminar

Just a little update.
Lt. Scott Lee was recently promoted and has moved to Panama City. We were contacted by Officer Clint Bean from the Taylor County FWC office, who informed us that he could fill in for Scott. I've updated the flyer to reflect this.

Re: 2015 Scallop Seminar

Also, 2 years ago, we had a local charter captain donate a 1/2 day scalloping charter (with restrictions) as the grand prize for the drawing. We were unable to find a captain to donate last year. If any captains out there would like to donate (it can be any kind of trip, doesn't have to be scallopin...

Re: June 23-28, Boatless @ Eastpoint

I've never fished inshore in that area, but some general redfish advice for this time of year is start working the grassline (shore) as soon as you have enough light to see in the morning. I like throwing a weedless spoon, but almost any kind of lure will work. The bite has usually turned off by 9:0...

Salty Gator wrote:Cool video. Those lionfish are thick down there. I don't care how easy it is to put fish in the box w a spear, that's why I don't do it
Yeah, one of the more surprising parts of the video for me was the number of lionfish. I had no idea they were that thick!

A buddy showed me this. Apparently the guy was killing lionfish out from St. George Island, when he got the surprise of a lifetime! Great White!

I've been hearing a lot of negative reports, with a few good ones mixed in. Most are blaming the red-tide we got last Summer.

Re: Keaton Beach Area - $9,000 - Last Chance!

What are the subdivision ordinances as far as what you can build or put on the property? The subdivision plat does not list any restrictions, and a quick search of the public records didn't reveal any restrictions in a separate document. It does have a HOA, but I think it's mainly for the maintenan...
