Re: I found the trout in St Marks
Of course I would hate if it turned out to be more than a little bad luck for the owner. I did not hear of any boats capsized out of St Marks. Confirmed? It was an old red ice chest in pretty bad shape with the handles missing, a small piece of frayed orange rope attached to one side. I left it at S...

I found the trout in St Marks
While returning across the west flats Saturday I came across a floating ice chest with no one in sight and some perfectly iced trout and catfish....Happily did not put us over the limit.....

Re: St Marks 5/16
Seems I recall the winter river trout fishing posts were off as well, is this a sign of a bigger problem?

St Marks flats 5-16-15
Went by myself to fish 0730 to 1230 on the flats a few miles west of the light house, windy but not too choppy. Water was murky. Fished shrimp under a cork. Caught 6 trout, one was a keeper @ 16in. Caught two large catfish, six sharks (1-3 feet), a 21 in blue fish, some ladies, no mackerel. Came in ...

St Marks March 20-21
Covered a lot of ground with the good weather and new moon tides Friday and Saturday. Went by myself with a bucket of live shrimp to various places to see what was there. Calm seas allowed a full speed ride everywhere till about 3pm each day when the wind and fog rolled in and chased me back to St M...

Re: St. Marks 12/5/14 and 12/6/14
Ditto on 12-6 out of St Marks. Figured they might be back down river or out on the flats so I worked a couple oyster beds west of the channel near the light house waiting for the fog to lift till about 10:30 and caught one keeper sea bass. West flats produced an 11" trout on a shrimp within a f...

ST Marks 10-24 & 25
Similar to above posts. Weather was great, fishing was mixed. Better Friday than Saturday. Fished Friday 1:30 to 6:30. Pretty good at on of the public reefs for grunts and 4 keeper flounder on the bottom ~ 25' with shrimp. Two Spanish. No cobia seen anywhere. Baitfish were plentiful everywhere. Spen...

St Marks July 4th & 5th
I went to the near public reefs late Friday and all day Saturday in about 20-25 feet of water. Seems like just about everything that could float was out on the water this weekend. The ideal weather made up for any inconveniences though. The water was clear, the waves were less than one foot Friday, ...

Re: Action-Packed
Wow, that sounds like a big day. I am curious as to how far off shore or the depth you found the action.

Near Off Shore St Marks 4-27-14
Saturday was beautiful, near calm seas all day till I came in around 4pm. Late afternoon 'sea breeze' showed up again making it choppy near shore as I came into the channel area. I fished in the 25 or so ft. depth in state waters areas south of the last buoy with lots of action on shrimp and cut bai...

St Marks 4-12-14
Had beautiful weather on the flats Saturday morning. Lots of Spanish Mackerel. Three out of the four trout caught were keepers. Caught some Lady fish, and a blue fish. All on live shrimp and a Cajun bobber in 3-5 feet of water.

Wanted to out to the flats Sunday, but the fog turned me around.

Re: Water clarity report for 10/12/13
I fished Saturday, first time in two months. The water coming out of the St Marks and Wakulla rivers is much clearer now, the brown coffee is gone. Off shore is still a little dark and not so clear. I didn't have any luck on trout in the flats southeast of the light house, but did run into some nice...
