Re: Creek mouth fishing
A group of kayaks 6 wide taking up the whole channel near shoals deserves to be swamped if they are too dumb to figure out that other boats need the channel too

...Now a kakyer deciding to paddle down the main channel of the steinhatchee river deserves to be swamped... A kayaker in the main channel of the Steinhatchee River is "asking for trouble" and should know better. But bear in mind some are newbies: over time I've seen some boaters (I assum...

Re: Creek mouth fishing
My personal thought is I just expect common courtesy, I'm not going to swamp somebody to run by them to get up some long lost creek. Now a kakyer deciding to paddle down the main channel of the steinhatchee river deserves to be swamped. Fishing the river in the winter time I know it will be a crapsh...

Definitely more rocks South than North, seahag has marker numbers listed on their website that gives an idea where you can turn out of the channel and be safe.

Re: Local Boat Ramp Status?
According to what I’ve read that used to be an inlet that was filled in years ago and now breached again. I looked at aerials dated back to 1984 and I can not see where that was ever an actual inlet. It must have been sometime before 1984. Assuming yall are talking about the breach at Cape San Blas...

Great therapy for sure, we lost something big on top water on the second cast but never got another hit on the poppers. I expected different as calm as it was that morning.

Steinhatchee 10/17
Well to change the pace a little and get away from politics, I managed to sneak in a trip to the hatch. Water was fairly clear considering and between 80-83f, only went north so I don't know how muddy it is south. Weird trip 3 keeper trout, 15 or so shorts and some trash fish. Fish were in 3-5ft and...

Re: New North American Trade Agreement
Alright, my mistake for attempting to bring some reason to the table. When you're that misinformed, there's no explaining to you just how completely wrong you are. If you think Obama's policies were poor for the economy (data shows it was the strongest economic growth since WWII and completely reve...

Re: Spinning Reel Combo (Trout)
Its hard to beat the BG for the money, even though I generally prefer shimano for spinning reels vs diawa and abugarcia for casting reels. I am a fan of st croix myself, I don't care for the mojo inshore simply because the sports center has the st croix for $105. I have an e6x that I got on sale for...

It all depends how much you tow with it, I have a 02 chevy gas burner 2500hd with 4.10 gears and my 2014 gmc z71 pulls better than it does. One of my fishing buddys has a 16 chevy 2500hd 6.0 and its worlds better than my older 2500hd with much better fuel mileage in the 16-17 mpg range. If you buy a...
