Re: Sharks or Gators?

Just be sure you have the marine firing pin cups installed. Be SURE you use FMJ rounds... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS057lKUtCs Dubble  I know this is off subject, but if the bullets aren't penetrating the bottom of the trash can, what's the point of shooting under water? I guess the ...

Re: scallops

Same question from me. I'm going to try this weekend, but I don't know if I should drive somewhere or try Grey Mare first.

Re: Oil spill trajectory forecast- USF computer model

I'm glad I saw this post. A guy I work with just said his wife's friend that lives in Panama City says there's clumps of oil showing up on the beach already. I told him to stop spreading lies like our typical news is doing. He sounded like chicken little!

Re: Scallop Scouting

OK, scallop season is getting close again. Has anyone looked around while fishing to see this year?

Re: St. Marks ramp -- Spanish Fort -- What's up with that?

I just went by the St Marks Fort ramp Saturday and it looked like bothe ramps were being used. That doesn't they are finished, but they seemed to be inuse. I like the Shields ramp except for the crowd of people always there and lack of parking.

Re: Scallop Scouting

The scallops were thick in St Marks last Saturday and there were several large ones. The grass makes them hard to find, but if you know how to look you can catch them quick. I didn't go all the way to Grey Mare Rock and 4 adults and 1 child got our limit in 4 hours. I was finding more than anyone el...

You've got me hungry for a mess of Mullet now!

I wonder how easy they are to catch at Wakulla Beach?

if your "borrowing" the boat don't worry about it. The only things I've ever broke on a boat was things that were mine. Borrowed seems to fare better. I think that's what makes me more worried :) The first time I took this boat out some old guy backed into the trailer in the Winn Dixie pa...

Put in at the Lighthouse and take a left. . .

This weekend was my first time heading towards Grey Mare rock. I have heard horror stories of evil rocks over there that like to eat gel coat and never thought of taking my 32' over that way. Now that I am borrowing a 17' SeaHunt. I figured I could brave the shallows. My question is, is it easier to...

I don't know an answer to your question, but I have one just like it. I decided not to get the topo map with my Garmin Vista, now I want to see if there is a chart for it.

It would be nice to find one of just this area.

You can add SeaFoam to gas or oil (or diesel I think). I wouldn't try to clean the crankcase too much on an old 4 stroke, but if you get water in the oil it will clean it out!

If you want to de-carbonize a 4 stroke, make sure the engine is at normal operating temp first and then spray/pour the SeaFoam in. Let the engine choke down on a big gulp and let sit for a few minutes. Start it back up and watch the carbon burn out. I like to pour it straight down the carb / throttl...

I love the Seafoam. I use it in everything. I had a big boat once with twin 454s. The starboard engine got some stuck valves and drank some gulf water up the exaust once. After fixing the valves and one oil change with seafoam you couldn't see any more milky oil. We changed it again just to be sure,...
