Thanks for the report, seems like a good trip. So, the big question, what’s your favorite top secret color?

Re: Sign the Pledge
So I'm pledging to never again buy seafood in a supermarket, order seafood in a restaurant, eat at Capt. D's or Long John Silvers or even order a fillet of fish at Mickey D's? :-D Gill nets should be (and are in most if not all states) prohibited for use for recreational fishing these days but comm...

Re: Winter pinfish?
I read a scientific article which states they typically move out deeper where temps are less erratic in the winter. Not sure where and how deep though. I think I posted a link on here for the article, I’ll look.

Re: gulp $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Q: So your baits are biodegradable. How long do they really stick around? A: “That all depends on the environment. In a well-run landfill, a Gulp! bait will be gone in 8 to 10 months. In saltwater, they generally last one to two years, and about the same or a little less in fresh, again depending on...

Re: St Marks 10/23
If you are in search of clearer water, last weekend I fish just north of Keaton Beach and south of spring warrior the shallow water was crystal clear, saw many reds and specs in less than 2’. Got a couple of hits but they were a little spooked by me. Was a lot of grass though.

Keaton Beach 10/23/21
Fished Keaton by myself Saturday from about 9:00am til 5:00pm. Water temps 73-75. Dirty water farther north of Keaton and crystal clear towards Keaton, didn’t venture south of Keaton. Lots of dead fish floating around Keaton, went away a little north of Keaton. Mostly smaller fish like pins, croaker...

Re: Keaton Boat Ramp on Miami Boat Ramps!
Wasn’t a very busy day. Watch that channel occasionally but the guy who comments acts like everyone is bad at launching or retrieving when most of the time it’s not nearly as bad as he makes it out. To him bumping the dock slightly it tantamount to the titanic hitting an iceberg. Having to back up a...

Re: Missing boater at lighthouse
Very sad, I can’t imagine what the family has gone through and will go through. Prayers One question I have on the circumstances of the tragedy, as someone who has never been scalloping, is it common for everyone to be in the water and no one on the boat? I don’t know that I would have ever done tha...

Re: Dumb question time (Tucker Lake)
“Dumb question time” is my favorite part of the day, unfortunately that wasn’t that dumb, I don’t fish that area but still learned something new and interesting.
