Tied up some of Terrier's Lighthouse Clouser and fished them some yesterday. Spanish liked them. Managed only 1 trout. Fish were active, but seemed somewhat scattered. We fished 7th also. Fished a couple of oyster bars off St Marks lighthouse. Nada. Moved up east river and son managed a slot trout and redfish on spin and some throwbacks. Glad you had a good day. Went out of Shell Pt. and only managed some throw back trout. Was mostly looking for a red, but nada. Water was tea colored.

Went yesterday and found small trout and thats all. Least got a little pullage after the cold front. A little windy but not terrible, lots of exposed bottom with the neg. low and nw wind.

I’ve always wanted to get into fly fishing.. stayed away due to the fear I’ll dive in and become obsessed.. but the itch is getting stronger. Something seems so pure about it. Have only been there once, several years ago, but didnt buy anything. Is a nice shop as i remember. I mostly get my stuff locally at Wilkinson Fly remember.Yep, i tie.

What test leader are you using, and do you have a line brand preference? I'm assuming you are not messing with tippets, if you are landing 28" reds. Most impressive. Mr Gary, I tie my own salt water tapered leaders using Trilene mono. Normally i fish a 16 lb tippet. If i have it, use some wire...
