Keaton 8/23
Left Motown around 6:00 this morning with two others with plans of doing a little fishing first thing then moving in to do some scalloping. Got to the ramp at 8:00 to a surprising minimum crowd. Ran north and in close to try and find a red while the tide was up. Lots of mullet and bait around but no...

Re: Flounder gigging
Haven't personally done it but my Aunt has a house on the bay at St. George and I see people doing it all the time. From the bridge towards the west is a long line of docks and little sloughs that hold a lot of fish. Google map that area and you see them.

Re: Will pay to learn how to catch a Sheepshead before Labor
Kinda in the same boat. I have only caught one in my life but I had never targeted them until this year. Always wanted to catch them but didn't know how. I still don't know a lot about them but I can give you a couple tips. I think the best time to catch them is late winter/early spring. This is the...

Haven't been to Econ since April but the pinfish are pretty thick in Keaton so I'm sure they are there as well.

Re: Cobia in Carrabelle
I think they go for $150, how's $100 sound? I also put a steel safety lanyard with clip on it so as to not drop it overboard. I have a buddy that has one too and I'm sure he would sell his as well since he doesn't have a boat anymore in case someone else is interested. http://i1279.photobucket.com/a...

Re: Opinions wanted-repower
If you can afford it with no worries and are sure your going to keep her for another ten years I would buy new. The comfort of not having to worry about any major problems for the next 7 years would be a huge deal for me. I would also consider dropping down to a 150. A new 150 is going to have a lot...

Just read a report on GON. Guy is having good luck on Gulp! new penny in the surf on a red jig head. Caught several trout, redfish , and some flounder. Don't know exactly where tho.
