I never have eaten either. The skipjack (a.k.a. ladyfish?) I believe is a very bony fish. The bonita I have seen cut up for bait and man is it one bloody red looking fish. They both make great dead baits for sharks but I have never seen anyone eat them.

Yeah, I think deeper is where its at. The tide was incoming til about 11:30 and then outgoing some after about 1:00. We did catch some in the 5 -7 foot range, including the big one.
