St. Marks reef
How far from the old fort or the lighthouse is the st. Marks reef?
Re: Penn 113H
I will probably do a little bottom fishing and trolling. I haven't done much setting up my own rods in the past so I've been doing a lot of research. Don't want to spend the money to fill up the reel with braid that's for sure. I figured it would be cheaper to back with mono and then use the braid a...
Re: Penn 113H
Mystic Reel Parts schematics show these capacities: Mono: 440/30 370/40 270/50 Braid: 925/50 750/65 650/80 Looks like you'd have plenty of room for error using braid, even with a mono top shot. I was planning on putting a mono backer (looks like I could put about 350 yds) and topping it with about ...
Penn 113H
Can anybody with experience tell me the line capacity of a Penn Senator 113H reel? It doesn't say it anywhere on the reel and my google searches are giving me different numbers.

Rod For Penn Senator 4/0
I have recently been given 2 Penn Senator 4/0 conventional reels. I'm pretty sure that they are old, but they are in really good shape and usable. I would like to rig them up to take them out this year. I am looking for some rod recommendations. I don't know much about offshore fishing so any help i...

Annual Boat Ramp Pass
Does anybody know where to purchase an annual boat ramp pass? I usually just pay the 5 or 10 dollars but it may make more sense depending on how the pass can be used. If you buy an annual pass does that only work for one specific ramp or do they make a pass that will work at all boat ramps? It seems...

Dog Island/Lanark/Carrabelle
Went out to Dog Island today for mothers day. First time I've been out there in years. It was just as nice as I remember. We stayed on the bay side and did the family thing. Saw a lot of boats coming in and out with fishing gear so I figured there must be some good fishing around the area. The tide ...

Re: Fuel gauge
Thanks for the help I’ll pull it out and measure. I replaced the sending unit last year so it better not be that!

Fuel gauge
Can somebody tell me how to go about measuring my old fuel gauge? It’s gone bad and I need a new one. I measured the face at 2.5 inches. The only gauges I see online are 2” and 2 1/8”. Help please

Anybody got a fishing report out of St. Marks? Got a few days off of work coming up and I'm thinking about heading out that way.

This is off topic but is that some sort of anchor in the first pic? I've seen them on boats but never knew what they were

Re: Scallop reports
Went out this morning about 9. Expected to see a bunch of boats but weren't a lot out yet. Scalloped for about 3 hours and managed to get about 10 or so. There were quite a few boats out by the time we left, maybe they had better luck. The water was slightly stained but I could see bottom up to 7 ft...

St. Marks Sunday
Put in at the old fort about 7 this morning. Don't know if I've seen the water as calm as it was today. It was slick the entire time we were out which was until about 1. Got out on an incoming high tide which was nice for a change. Fished some of the oyster bars on the river before the lighthouse wi...
