Re: Chandeleur Islands

wait wait wait... this charter asks you to BRING everything? They don't provide anything other than the boats (to fish/sleep), "3 gourmet meals a day," and guides? I was surprised myself when I saw this. I did confirm this with the charter and this is how they operate. I didn't book the c...

Re: Chandeleur Islands

Will do Dawgfan. We've been talking about this trip for a while ourselves.
Finally had a chance to put a boatload of old fraternity brothers together the trip. Looking forward to it.

Chandeleur Islands

I'm heading out late next week for a trip out of Biloxi to the Chandeleur Islands. This will be my first time on one of these 3 day mothership charters. Anyone done this before? If so, any advice on what to bring or expect would be great. The operator has a list of gear to bring but it's pretty gene...

Re: Carolina Skiff JVX18CC

I really appreciate the advice everyone posted. I'll keep looking for a DLV model or another v-hull that will be better suited for the bay. It sounds like this model is better for the lakes here in GA.

Carolina Skiff JVX18CC

Hi All - I'm hoping some of you boaters will have some advice on this boat. I'm looking for a good family bay boat to run around St. George. I'd like to have something that can handle the gulf side on a good weather day. Most of the time we'd be in the bay with the family fishing and playing around....

If you stay in the grass between 5-9 feet you shouldn't have any problem at all. We always use a single hook tipped with s...

Carrabelle - 6/9 & 6/10

I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts for a while and figured it was time for me to post a report. I haven't done much offshore for the past year so it felt good to just get out on the water. I was down with my family for a week on SGI and the wind was blowing the first few days. We spent a day play...

Re: Spanish have arrived

I've got a newbie question if y'all don't mind.

When you see the birds and Spanish hitting the water what is the best way to catch the Spanish? What type of lure do you throw, spoons?

Re: Wanna win a Kayak

I just signed up for three tickets. I have a paypal account that I used, but I don't know that there is a phone number listed on the account. Do you need a number at this point?
