water clarity?

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THE WATER CLARITY IS OUT FROM ST.MARKS AND AUCILLA APPROX. 5 TO 10 MILES, WANT TO TROLL FOR GROUPER. THANKS, JIGHEAD

2 weeks ago it was crappy. I would imagine it's not much better.

Went last weekend, it is slowly beginning to get back to normal. You should be fine trolling.

What area of the coast would have the clearest water right now?

I would think St Joe would be clear since its not fed by any rivers.

How about Lanark or Shell Point?

I heard Turkey Point / Lanark was still nasty as of last weekend... and that the tides and fishing were terrible.

Shell Point area is actually pretty good.

We fished out of Shell Pt last week and the water had cleared up a lot...however, it is raining cats and dogs today 10-24-08 so the water clearity probably will cloud up soon.

We were offshore and could see bottom in 30 ft...had a great trip...limit of grouper, red sapper and cobia.
