x2 on checking your guides. Not long ago I was on the verge of writing a very nasty e-mail to the good folks at Power Pro after losing multiple lures, when I realized that the true reason was a tiny groove in on of my guides. After I replaced it I never had another issue.
NOAA reports are the reason I have trust issues.

Thanks everyone. I inspected my guides and didn't see anything that could snag the line. Maybe I've just been running into some bad luck recently. Losing tackle is part of the struggle I guess. Appreciate everyone :)

If your leader blows his horn, you might not get cutoff. :) Have your guides keep a lookout too. :D

This kept happening to a buddy last weekend. Lost a good fish. His eye at the tip had a huge crack in it.
