St James 8/28

Good Sunday everyone,

I had good success with the redfish on the 28th. Wind was howling from the southwest and I fished most of an outgoing tide while I caught some pinfish on the dead high tide. Caught 6 or 7 reds on a combination of live pinfish, and cut ladyfish. Also caught an undersized black drum. The wind made throwing difficult so I decided to have a lazy-ish day and stuck with the cut bait. Also missed one or two nice redfish on a slightly too big pinfish out there live. Going to try to get down and fish a tide later this week as well and will keep you all updated!

All fish were between 17 and the largest one was 27 or so. Looking forward to a 30 incher!

Nice fish.

You are lucky to have acess to a dock that holds fish. That is not always the case. I would strongly recomend you make sure not to post a picture that allows others to identify that particular dock or you might (will) have unwanted competition for your pet redfish.

Someone told me that Black Drum was good to eat as long as they have strips. Now I know what that looks like. Rockya is right.

Thank you for the advice... I held off posting some of the pictures I have with the fish personally for that reason.
