St Marks water clarity since rains
Would appreciate info on water conditions and clarity around St.Marks and Econfina. How bad is the water clarity? Thanks.

Have not been but with all the rain I would imagine it looks like chocolate milk. Would probably have to go to Keaton to find clearer water.

Probably dark as high as all the rivers are from all this non stop rain so u better try something bright or a glow color.

You may want to check salinity, too. I wasted two hours yesterday on a fishless coastline paddle to a SMNWR creek that tasted like tap water, even though clarity was fine. That East River Pool/Tram Road rainfall discharge goes a long way.

“Since rains” is a fantasy for the last almost year. When is the last time it hasn’t flooded more than a week apart?

I fished East of the LH this past Saturday and the water was pretty stained. I didn't venture too far out on the flats but East of Palmetto it was really dark.

I was in the East River Sunday and could see the bottom in 2', but it was tea colored.

I fished West of the lighthouse on Friday and was really surprised how much it had cleared up in the last week. We could easily see the bottom in 6 foot of water.

I was also surprised to see that the upper Aucilla had came down a couple feet. It’s still flooded but the drop has started. Hopefully we got a fun spring ahead.
