Tired of the same old cheese grits?

:-D Try adding a little salsa to them. I prefer the medium salsa from the publix deli. :lick:

I like to add finely chop celery and onions sweated down in butter with salt&pepper and finely crumble sausage to my cheese grits. This is the coastal NC way to make cheese grits.

Chalk is right, chicken stock makes a lot of difference.
Also try real course ground grits rather than the quick stuff... :lick:

Probably an old receipe for some but I still like garlic and pepper jack cheese to go with fish.
