Eating Carp?

Post by bman »

My father in law has been in Baghdad for the last few years.
We were talking about fishing and fish and he brought up this popular way of cooking Carp :o
Said it was a common festive meal called Masgouf

A little more about for those interested http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masgouf
How about it Timmy ;-)

Way way back when I was in the Boy Scouts, we were camping at Ochlockonee River State Park, we cooked a couple whole slabs of ribs the exact same way.... :-D
They were the best darn ribs I have ever had

Just like an old time Monticello Mullet Roast.
My wife's grandfather used to do this for family reunions, church festivals, or any other occasion.
