Simple Grilled Trout

Post by silverking »

SrBenda's mackerel post inspired me to try a new twist with trout. I normally do the bacon wrap filets. Decided to try something else last night.

Sprayed filets with EVOO and placed on my fish griddle. Ground fresh black pepper over the top and added generous squeezes of fresh lemon and lemon slices to each piece.

Coals were white ash when I put the grate on the grill. Less than 10 minutes per side, flipping once. Moist and tender with great flavor.

Served with a caprese salad and Caribbean rice. I'll definitely do this style of grilling again.

Sorry, was too hungry to stop and shoot before chowing down on the outcome.

Nice, so the fish griddle eliminates the sticking?

Yes, the griddle has a non-stick coating, plus the olive oil helped.
