St Marks 1-11-18

Post by eightwt »

Fished from fort past the power plant just a little ways. Only one 19. Went back to the confluence and the weather got snotty but managed to boat a number of shorts and a couple more for the box including a fat 21. A couple of ladies also. A number of boats on the river, hate to see what the traffic on a weekend is like.

Pretty sure than when I die, if I go to Hell, God will sentence me to stroke up the St. Marks River in a kayak during a cold snap, when so many motorboats are either buzzing by and swamping paddlers, or anchoring on top of them if they see rods bending.

I'll tell God, "Been there, done that."

I've been pretty fortunate so far as the powered boats have been very courteous for the most part.
