Thanks for letting us know, FHC. He has been in poor health for awhile now. A true fishing institution and another member of the Greatest Generation (WWII veteran) lost. salute1

What a life - lived through the Battle of the Bulge and helped start fly fishing in saltwater. I only know him through Youtube and forum discussions - wish I had met him.

Certainly one of the greats in the fishing community. I know Flip Pallot will be very sad over this, they were steadfast friends. I only wish I could have attended one of his workshops or better yet, gone fishing with him. I am certain I would have come away a far better informed angler.
He will be missed.

Great article on his life and contributions in Angler's Journal. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple times--he was a special person.
