Bald point 8-18-18

Post by hambric85 »

Arrived at 9am tide was moving out. Coffee to damn near black water. One bite on a floating deerhair/feather mullet. Chartreuse &purple. Was drifting it across the bar with the current, made me wish I had a Spey rod.
A pair of young guys showed up about 10 chunking frozen bait in the channel. Came up with a few trout 8-10in. By 11 the water was damnear boiling. Going to mad Anthony’s to cool off[BEER MUG]

Thanks for the report. Although the rain has been scattered, it has been heavy at times and I guess that's keeping the water so stained. The Ochlocknee is still very high above Talquin so I imagine they got the gates open.
