Went out of Shell Point. Tried east of channel and nearest oyster bed with no results, but beautiful crystal water. Ended up a creek where I found it occupied with others catching on gear. Went to mouth and picked up some trout on bait pattern in pink-chartreuse. As it was a low tide coefficient day, the water wasn't moving much all day. Got up on platform with pole for first time to start learning where it was open and calm.

Thanks for the report. Real men throw pink flies.

That's the best time to start learning how to pole--when it's calm and not a lot of current. Keep at it and you'll be spinning that KW around on a dime.
