I thought about trying one, but it does not look like it is stainless and the the rust/corrosion factor concerned me.

That's a good point.. I didn't see anything mentioned about it being stainless. I'm thinking about ordering one but I'm not sure there's an advantage. When launching, I still have to get out of my truck and into the boat, and I disconnect the winch strap before climbing into the boat. When loading, I pull the boat up on the trailer and then have to climb out to pull it out of the water so I snap the winch strap on as I climb out. What am I missing?

years ago float on trailers had a catch to replace original bow eye, and it also had a springe loaded catch hoop on trailer that work great!! Think abut now I sure miss that hook up!
