Teleflex Safe T helm Replacement

Post by PhishingNole »

I have a circa 2007 Safe T Teleflex helm that has quite a bit of play in it. Based on my reading, these are not units you can repair and the whole unit needs replacing.

There are bolt in replacement units (Safe-T II, SS132) that seem pretty easy (relatively) to install, bit also seem to still have a small amount of play.

Would you recommend just going with the Safe-T II replacement or installing a different brand style for a 17' Bay Boat with a 115 Yamaha?

Because I thought the conversion was far more complicated. Just watched a few videos and now that's the plan.

Thanks for the suggestion. Now I just need to decide on a kit.
