Ole Stumpnocker

Post by SCALAWAG »

Decided to redo, refit and recommission the old stumpnocker (1983)to shallow water flats duty. Added new front deck with dry storage and put a built in insulated cooler in back bench seat. Going to try some of the more remote small boat boat ramps out. Got to get the motor done (25 Evinrude). Hope to get it wet in a few weeks.

Had one of those back in 80's. Caught a lot of fish between Aucilla and Spring Warrior out of it. Little boat took some pretty good water too which was good as I dont remember it having too much floatation in it. :o

They take a beating, float like a skiff and ride better than they should.

Some boats are just worth restoring.

It'll serve you well.
