870 barrels

Post by WetBandit »

I want to get an 870 barrel for duck hunting to make the most out of one gun. Does anyone know a shop in or around tallahassee that regularly stocks replacement 870 barrels? I tried a couple of the big box stores and they can order them, but they don't stock them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Happy New Year!

Try Masters of Gun and Rod off Capital Circle NW or Kevin's.

South Georgia Outdoors might carry them also.

I've got the standard 28" 870 barrel, comes with modified choke. Located in Tallahassee. 912-twotwothree-7 2 7 4

Does your 870 have a rifled barrel for deer or is it a home defense gun? If not you can probable use what is on it now. Just use a different choke.

You might check with W. R. Alexander in Tallahassee also. He has a lot of parts laying around his shop which is in the Fort Knox storage center just SW of the intersection of Mahan and Capital Circle on the E. side of town.

If you have a choice, get the 26", but you probably won't find one. I mistakenly got that on my 870 and love it. My son won a 28" 870 at a Green Wing shoot one year. He still prefers duck hunting with the shorter barrel.
