Post by nobitchin »

Hey,
I have a 2004 218cc sailfish. 150hp yamaha. Looking for 1-2 people to help with the cost of fishing trip. Fishing out of the fort at St. Marks. Targeting black sea bass, grunts grouper. Would love to work on technique for catching hogfish. Let me know.

As you work on your technique to catch hogfish, I hope you post on this website your experiences about what works and what doesn't.

I targeted hogfish for the first time a few months ago. I fished a live or freshly dead shrimp on a knocker rig in 30-35 feet of water. After catching many grunts, porgies, and seabass, I caught one hogfish, and it was keeper size.
