February 6, 2021 Tournament - St Marks

Post by SHOWBOAT »

Game Week! Not the Super Bowl...the return to tournament fishing on the Forgotten Coast.

Excited for the NFGFC to host its first tournament in 12 months this Saturday, February 6.

The schedule with launch locations was posted previously.

In the event you're struggling with on-line registration or prefer to register in person, we'll have a couple options available for the February tournament. First, the officers will be gathered between 6:00 and 6:30 Thursday at Bumpa's. Additionally, an officer will be stationed in the grass next to Bo Lynn's Saturday morning as you enter St. Makrs. That station will close promptly 15 minutes prior to safe light.

Safe Light: 6:53am
High Tide: 10:47 AM (+2.2)
Low tide: 2:40 PM (+1.7)
*Account for a predicted North wind

Rules for NFGFC tournaments are attached below and also available on the NFGFC Facebook page.

Please be respectful of all other participants and distance responsibly!

What and where exactly is Bo Lynn's?

Edit: Never mind. Google shows a grocery store on the right on Port Leon Dr. just before Riverside Dr. I should be able to find that.. :smt023

Yes 3:30

Correct on Bo Lynn’s. Easy boat parking and before you have to make a ramp decision.

Any idea who will be taking fees at Bo Lynn's or maybe what they will be driving? I'd hate to give $90 of my kid's lunch money to a total stranger. :-D
3:30 your time is 2:30 my time so can I fish an extra hour? :-D
Weather is looking better. Now it looks like rain Friday and we'll be good to go on Saturday.

There will probably be multiple folks. I believe Michael Aman will be there, not sure what he drives. Hobbs should be there too. If you see multiple guys in St Marks before 7 am that don’t appear to be selling any black market items then it’s likely the right crowd😉

Thanks you, I appreciate it but just noticed Rule 15. I didn't remember or realize live bait was an option. Hence my reason for trying to remove my previous posts.

posts removed! and live bait... man, I'm going to argue that garbage. Artificial only!

Thanks to the folks who have started to email registrations, entries and Venmo $.

Hinsey/Hodges and Team Castleberry; you guys are registered. Please let me know if you had any challenges or there is anything we can do to make that process easier.

Mr. Trent, we're Venmo friends but we haven't got your money or forms yet :D
Juan, this is your chance for socially distanced registration ;-)

Hope to see some folks tonight at Bumpa's!

Juan, are you not joining this weekend? Was looking forward to meeting you. E registration, Chris will help you launch, SK will give you some spots to fish....come on over. I'll do a side pot with you that this tournament will not be won with live bait.....

Yep, I'm going to pass. Don't misunderstand, I don't have anything against live bait tournaments.. they have their place especially when kids and family members participate but I fish strictly artificial and live bait always has and always will have an unfair advantage over artificial imo. I might fish Carrabelle and Apalach when that time comes just for the fellowship since unlike St. Marks, I'm familiar with those places.
Good luck guys!
