Great variety bottom bumping

Post by flatsbroke22 »

Left out to slightly rougher conditions than what was expected but not too bad. Reached our spot at around 20 miles and 80 or so feet to some live bottom. The action was fast and furious right off the bat. We had our 5 man limit of snapper in about an hour with some red and gag grouper mixed in. The bite stopped so we tried a few other spots to try for more grouper but only caught a few more snapper that was released and short grouper. Circled back to the first spot and found one more gag. Rounded out the box with pink mouths, lane snapper, and a mangrove. Image

My god, good pile of groceries. We got our quality snapper limit quickly, but could only find 23” gags. Good for y’all. You’ll be at the cleaning table for a while.

Fine mess of fish. Got some fish slime on that path finder on that trip.

We had to go V Tower to get any snapper over 20". Also caught Red Grouper & Lanes. Mostly fished in 90ft. Sorry, I don't know how to add pics yet. LOL
