St. Marks - 5/1/21

Took the boys fishing. We caught a mixed bag. Lots of short trout, a nice size white tip shark, a large gaff topped catfish, a puffer fish, some mackerel, some ladyfish, and a bluefish. The trout really like a 3” new penny Gulp. The catfish, shark, and puffer liked pinfish. The ladyfish, bluefish and mackerel liked live shrimp. The water temperature was mid 70’s (73-75F). All fish were caught in 5-9’ wherever the grass was broken up by sandy spots. Around 4pm the wind made the drift too fast, so we anchored and still caught fish.
