Anyone been doing any better around St. Marks? My family and I have been once and found very few in the typical places. Visibility was great and the grass looked to be doing very well. Just didn't find many scallops.

They are out there - just not in the usual places. Limited out on the 21st

I've looked in a few spots that I've never looked in before and found some, but haven't got close to a limit yet. The ones in the picture and the ones I've found seem to have plenty of meat!

The meat was definitely large. Can’t wait to get out again. Hopefully this weekend.

There were two of us and we ended up a half cup shy of our two man limit. We did move three times as the tide dropped and found more at each stop. We’re actively scalloping for just over two hours.

We weren’t the only ones out there. As always, look for boats with dive flags up. Run about to where the old bird rack was before turning east. Watch for flags.

Still cleaning from today’s trip. Season ends Sunday. Ends for me today as I’m having my knee scoped tomorrow. So some may be mad at me for saying this but THEY ARE RIGHT OFF THE SANDBAR!!!! This is the perfect opportunity to take out kids or friends to try it for the first time as it is the easiest of runs please follow some simple rules:
1:Put up dive flag
2.off plane anywhere around the sandbar. It’s shallow and while prop cuts are great places to look for scallops, don’t add more
3.idle anywhere around scallopers. Assume other boats have people in the water even if they don’t have flags.
4.DON’T CLEAN SCALLOPS WHERE PEOPLE ARE SCALLOPING. SCALLOP GUTS ARE PRIME CHUM
AND WILL ATTRACT UNWANTED VISITORS!
5. HAVE FUN!!!
