Spring pattern

Post by geofish »

I didn't find 'em on the bars today, but I caught a trout on the flats. Water temp was 71 degrees. A buddy said he caught bluefish and Spanish Mackerel on the deeper flats. Made me think the March pattern had moved up to February, and sure enough I caught 2 big sheepshead on my favorite nearshore spawning spot. Saw a pod of 3 cobia out there as well. Spring has sprung!

We were out near the sand bar checking crab traps Friday and Saturday afternoon and the fog was thick. Water temp was 72 and air temp must have been 71. So glad to have 2 separate GPS devices to find my way home!
