For the Lake Jackson fishermen.... "Oyster Island Bait and Tackle" will open on Saturday March 13 at Sunset landing.Live bait,drinks ,rod and reel combos,brim busters,lures,cricket cages, artificial lures, etc. in stock for a successful day of fishing .Stop by and see Johnny for your fishing needs.

There is free parking at the county park 20 feet from the boat ramp.(as the crow flies).
You can purchase a annual boat/trailer parking pass for the Oyster Island property at $25 or $3 per day.

I paid for my annual parking pass last weekend.....he hadn't had them printed up at the time. Gotta get back by there and pick mine up.

The Ramp there is great- nice concrete, long and the water is Deep.
Launched my Skiff there a few days ago!

Sunday Mar.7 . Folks enjoyin` a good warm day. Testing boats,family rides,and some fishin`. Reports of a few juvenile fish but the water temp. is still a little chilly.
