Lake Hall has been slow recently - for fly fishing at least. The water is high and very weedy. I've seen some people having success bream fishing with crickets. The bream are shallow but there are lots of weeds to get through. I did manage my best fly rod bass today - a healthy 4lbs (21 X 13):
I had a few good surges before it buried up in the weeds - then it was more like hand lining a crab than fishing.

Them big ones do like to bury up in weeds when hooked, kinda reminds me of small groupers on the flats. Nice fish.
