pond trip

Post by DixieReb »

Went out to the old, reliable fishing hole yesterday for some plugging with light jigs. Spent about 1 hr. fishing with white curly-tails and black/yellow beetle spins and caught 4 nice yearling bass and 4 hand-sized shellcrackers.I was hoping for specks but they didn't bite. Most fish were in a willow treetop that always holds a few fish. The pond is so low I was able to walk around the exposed shoreline and pitch to some good areas that usually aren't accessible in deeper water periods. It was fun, I kept 4 fish for supper :lick: and released the rest. Can't wait to try it again. :smt004

 Nice.. Sounds like fun. The pond behind our house is low as well. Think I might give it a try also.
I come from a small drinking community with a fishing problem

Catching fish is always fun! Sounds like the fishing "bug" has bitten you :)
