Shell Island Fish Camp 3-22-07

Post by dolphinatic »

I had to go work at Shell Island Fish Camp to get a few boats ready for the weekend, so I decided to take my son with me to "work." I knew he wanted to go fishing really bad since it was Spring Break and he hadn't gotten to go. We got to the Camp about 10:00 AM and I loaded him up with 3 dozen live shrimp. We walked out to the edge of the boat slip and there was a huge largemouth bass sitting at the surface. I told him to cast over near it, and as soon as the shrimp hit the water, the bass grabbed it!!! It jumped out of the water 3 times before finally throwing the hook at the dock :x I told him not to worry, that there were plenty more hanging around the dock and boat slips. He went up and down the slips for the next 3 hours using up all the shrimp. He managed 7 largemouths and threw them all back to fight again another day

Those are some nice bass. I know he enjoyed that, nothing like getting fish on live bait.

I believe that is my boat you are waxing in that photo.

The guys at Shell Point said ya'll had a good time while you detailed it.

You sure didn't have any trouble keeping that young man occupied while you were working.

boat looked good when I got there. That wax job sure did make cleanup easier Sunday. We messed it up good with all the fish we caught.
